zetec engine tbs and ecu
I'm thinking of selling my 1.8l zetec with weber alpha gold tbs and ecu. it also has a raceline sump and water rail.
my question is that lot likely to fetch £2000?

about £100 to £2000 on that info!
Age? Miles? history? Dyno print?

The engine and ecu have been in the car since 2003/4 but has never been on the road or registered. As for dyno no idea.

ECU is the bit that devalues it tbh. Very difficult to find anyone that can map it as its locked and needs a dongle and Webber don't support it
any more.
So imho £2k is way over the odds.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure

I agree with the above unfortunately. The alpha ecu is little more than a paperweight.
A new omex ecu and loom will be around £6-700 plus mapping so if you can get £1200 for the motor and tbs I think you will be doing ok

To be honest that is what I was expecting, I will just sell the engine on it's own and keep the tbs and sump for a blacktop.

I went from silvertop to blacktop and needed a full remap. Was very different and struggled to run properly with silvertop map. So that still leaves
the issue of getting someone to map the alpha?

Sorry I should have added that I will buy a different ecu as Weber are no longer supporting any injection ecus and nobody is very hopeful of being
able to remap mine or if they can it will be cheaper to buy a new ecu.
