When I installed the alternator to the black top I cheated Normally I would knock something together but time is short. I got an alternator bracket from retro ford, this put a pulley slightly to the top right of the water pump so it would run the correct way. The alternator was one I got from the local factors the fitted the bracket and I used the alternator pulley off a sierra (4 grooved one)

Hope this helps

Why not use the standard manifold and ECU? It works for me........and upgrading can be done at a later time.....

Sorry to hi-jack the thread a little but i also dont really want to spend megabucks on Jenveys,

Has anyone else fitted the ford injection system on a zetec installation ??

Im building a zetec powered VelocityXT but the ford ali plenum sits way above the rocker cover & the black plenum (plastic ??) ive seen on some fords sits much lower but looks like it will foul the steering column ?

I notice on Mave's site, a tasty carbon fibre inlet manifold, does anyone sell these or something of similar shape/size because it looks perfect

Rover T16Mpi or Turbo manifold can be fitted to the Zetec not sure of the clearance issues in a Locost I have bought one but haven't got it yet. Rescued attachment 82_2.JPG

my 2.0 zetec with black hang down inlet manifold misses the steering shaft but is close to the bulkhead to side frame brace
but then again i have pushed the engine as far rearward as possible

Rover manifold needs an adaptor plate can be bought off the shelf at a silly price but would be easy to make up -- especially for a group buy getting them CNC machined.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: I made my inlet manifold myself, by cutting up the 1.8 alloy manifold (use the part that bolts to the engine, and the part to bolt the throttle body to). The carbon fibre tube is a motorcycle silencer shell. Fits very nicely, and looks great. Oh, and works well too!
