PowerCommander Users Ideas

Hi All,

Searching me mad for a VFR 800 1998 power commander i guesses that it could be an idea to just buy another bargain (for another bike) look up its wireing diagram and just splice it in. Cant be to hard! Sow the question is.
Can you download a map wich isn´t build for your bike and load it into the commander.

for example you brought for a honda fireblade and try to load a honda VFR map etc..

anyway i could just build one manually offcourse...

2nd. I was thinking wich sensors it will need and i guess that it only needs the coils and the injectors right??

that if it works following my filosofie wich means that retarting means when i measure on MCU side spark wait x uSec and spark on loom side for injection the same. less times means starting later until mcu stops more time means when mcu stopped go on for x sec.

for spark offcourse its a bit different.
i guess for spark it measures the time between the last spark event and decreases it with a amount offcourse if revs are the same.. cant imagine another way, yes offcourse it could read out the rest of the sensors but in fact then it wasn´t nececarry to have the stock mcu connected.

Another thing is that i could my self buildup a commander wich does just what i told above infact i could add labda for closed loop control saying that i only have knowledge about the injection not much about the spark vs labda.

Sow what do we opinion???

Tks

p.d. infact what i´m saying is that each powercommander difference is in the conectors and the type of injection and the type of spark.

p.d.2 it will mean 8 inputs and 8 outputs stages easy??

rest of the compensation will be done by the mcu...
offcourse you could hookup also the temp sensor to detect operating temp.

TKS - you can load whatever map you want into a Power Commander - it is not specific.

It also uses the exisiting bike engine sensors. Splicing it may be more difficult but if you're game, good luck!
