Bike carb help
Hi all, Need a little advise please.
I'm doing a zetec conversion and went to a bike breaker today to get some ZX9 carbs, but then looked as CBR 600 carbs (2000 i think with a TPS
and there 37mm)
I would prefer to go with the CBR 600's with the TPS would they be suitable for a standard 1.8 zetec ??
(i might put some 130 cams in at some point)
Cheers

I hope so!
I'm planning to use ZX6R carbs which are about the same size on a 1.8 Zetec.

I'm using ZZR1100 carbs at 40mm ID with no TPS.
I'm going to attach the Ford TPS from the original inlet to the throttle pedal and see if that works.

40mm on the ZX9's i looked at.
I think i'm going to have a punt on the CBR 600's as there quite cheap
Can upgrade later if necessary

37mm chokes should be fine for a 1800 Zetec.
I think from memory they are OK to about 150bhp. If you were running Webers or Dellorto's you would probably be using 40's with 36mm
chokes.
Summer's here!!!!

Ive heard of someone else having success mounting the TPS to the throttle pedal.
Im going to try and suss how to fit to the ZZR1100 throttle spindle - not looked seriously at it yet though. Im sure its easier said than done.
