Step 50 on the build and confused

Hi, I have successfully got to step 50 on the build and have got a little confused. I am building a MSnSE for a Vauxhall C20XE engine running a wasted spark. Can you confirm that I need to go with the Direct Coil Control ignition set-up under the Hall/optical catagory? Ha, Ha, I don't even understand what I have written, Ha, HELP.

You want VR circuit not Hall/optical

You're nearly there

OK, so I take it I install step 50 (Hall/optical) and step 51 VR circuit and disable the first with a jumper?

When you install the optical / hall cct on the MS board, they are selectable through jumpers. So Dont worry about installing it. You just select what you want later.

The jumpers are Tachselect to VRin for a Ford VR sensor, or Tachselect to OPTin for the hall / optical sensor.
The other end of this chain is VRoutINV to TSEL
(VR sensor +ve signal wired to pin24, the sensors ground wired to the screen and the VROUTINV linked to TSEL)

Or TSEL to OPTout if you are using the Hall / optical section.

look about 2/3 to 3/4 way down this page and you will see a picture and a shcematic showing the circuit and Links for the v3 baord

I fitted all the components except R57 which you dont appear to need.

for 4 cylinder working you need a second VB921 driver then you can drive the Ford coils directly.
Follow the MSsns instructions for 4 cylinder sparks. Dont forget to beef up the track with a thick wire from SPR4 to Pin6 on the 37way socket (do this on the underside of the board. It will need to go under the MAP sensor.

Its not very clear, as they give you too much information, and it needs careful reading.
