Zetec fuel pipes

Guys,

Still more problems. How are the standard Ford fuel pipes connected to the Zetec inlet manifild as they dont have a fuel type jubilee clip fitted. I took mine off planning to use some new flexible fuel hose. However I cant clamp it with a fuel type jubilee clip and now the Ford pipes are loose so wont be fuel tight.

I have a siver top Escort engine with the inlet manifold that goes over the top.

Thanks

Ian

mine had quick release connectors that pushed on to the fuel lines on the manifold sounds like you need a trip to the scrappys

Mondeo 2.0 Zetec in bits

Ian,
if its the quick release connectors (one red, one white?) your are in luck. I currently have an engineless Mondeo 2.0 Zetec on my drive. I can cut some lengths of fuel pipe off with these connectors on the end if it helps? You will then just need to attach a piece of pipe and jubilee clip to the other end.

IIRC they are 10mm od and you can get ordinary compression plumbing fittings to work on the ford pipe.
