Seriously confused on wiring MSnSE to relay board.
Seriously confused on wiring MSnSE to relay board. I have a wasted spark set-up and need to wire the outputs to the coil.
My understanding is:
VB921 no1 is wired to pin 36 on the MS DB37
VB921 no2 is wired to pin 6 on the MS DB37
On the relay board end:
pin 36 is linked to output no 11 on the relay board which is shown as S5
pin 6 is connected to earth
This is a real problem. Could I wire pin 6 on the MS end of the cable to pin 31 on the relay board end of the cable which comes out of the relay
board on output no 10 which is shown as S4?
Then I am confused about the feed from the coil back to the MS for the tacho signal. If I am running a twin coil pack how do I connect it to pin
24?
I know this have been covered in parts in other (sometimes volatile) threads but I would dearly love a solution for both problems laid out in a single
response to make sure I avoid problems.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Well this is where it all goes wrong with MS IMHO. With my V2.2 (don'tknow what your using) msns throws up a few problems and people have got
round them in their own ways. For me I've installed a db15 as per Phil Ringwoods information which I found on the extra efi site
(www.extraefi.co.uk) there's loads of hardware and software info extraefi
site
It really doesn't matter how you do it as long as your happy/confident that your method will work. As for using the spare pins on the db37 I
would not use 6 as I believe pins 1 to 19 are all linked together as earths on the board (V2.2).
There are more spare pins on the V2.2 board that you could use to keep everything in the db37 if you wanted.
Hope this helps you out as basically there's more than one way of skinning a cat in this case.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Hmmm
"Now hopefully those who just want to argue rather than help people will stay under their rocks........"
Now I thought the second post was imformative and relevent, providing details on how to resolve this issue.
The Third post however smacks of there is only one way, my way and anything else is incorrect !
Just an observation, how about lightening up a bit ?
