blanking off bottom outlet on tank

i need an SVA proof way of blanking out the main outlet on my tank for my velocity. Because im using a mondeo fuel pump that sits in the top of the tank, im not using the bottom take off on the tank.

I need to blank it off, yet in an SVA friently way...

cani just use a fmall bit of fuel pipe, shove a bolt in it and use two fuel clips to make sure none leaks out???

if you haven't used the tank crimp the pipe and run a little weld along it. If you cant weld it put some metal loaded epoxy in the tube then crimp it flat and fold the end over. Both of these techniques look more premenant than the rubber hose trick. Another idea is to get a suitable valve that will compression mount to the tube and have it as a drain off cock. As long as the solution looks as if it is part of the design and is petrol tight SVA should be happy.
