its official "its a runner"

finally got the car running today after all my megasquirt woes. Big thanks to Rayward "megasquirt god" for all his help and patience. We never got to find what the problem was with the coil drivers so now running with the edis set up, engine ran and ticked over first turn of the key. Now the real fun starts with the tuning

yes ignition advance works ok just as it should. Ray altered the set up of the megasquirt to run the edis instead of the coil drivers,so now i have the safety net of limp home mode. The only issues that i have at the moment is that the fuel pump does not shut off if the ignition is left on with the engine not running. so we have still got that to sort. definate progress

Hmm that is a Strange one, that must be something internal to the Megasquirt that keeps it running.

I wonder if any of the pins, wires in the plug or circuits are close together and the 2 faults are related.

Ray is going to build up another megasquirt and we are going to swap the units and see if this cures the problem, but at least it will run for now

Where did you get the suspect MS? Bill Shurvinton will diagnose most units if you drop him a line if there is any suspicion that yours is duff...
