Jag tank

Found this on the bay. It should fit but is a bit big. Is there anywhere i can take it to get it cut in half so i have more space in the rear? Obviously i cant do it for fear of exploding

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Fill it with water before you cut it in half. the explosion risk is petrol fumes if the tank is full of something else it can't explode!

I cut and shut an elise tank, I ran the hose through it for ages, and made sure there was no petrol smell when I cut it. To cut it I used a long hack saw, as it keeps temps down over a grinder. With this it's better to be asfe than sorry. That is the way I did it but is not a recommendation and there are obvious risks involved. I also had a fire extinguisher to hand and wore cotton clothes.

When it was in pieces I left it open for a week so any fumes could evaporate, then washed it again , then tacked it together before final welding.
