Too Much Pressure!!!
Plans changed as always, and after scrapping the efi and gaining some webers im left with a new bosch xr3i high pressure pump.. I was just gonna use
this with a regulator but my mate reckons it will just blow the regulator apart and ill deffo need a low pressure one like a facet or so.. Is this
true? Any info greatly appreciated, Cheers Ben

You can use it but you will need a regulator with a fuel return to the tank so would be allot easier to use a low pressure pump

What if i mount it next to the fuel tank in the boot then run the fuel into the swirl pot, swirl pots return to the tank and fuel from swirl pot into
regulator, then webers??

If you use it to supply the swirl pot you will need a means of regualting the fuel return to hold a slightly higher pressure in within the pot. In
this instance the swirl pot becomes the pressure regulator.
The restriction could be something as simple as a carb jet or better yet a small tap so you can adjust the return, twiddle it closed until thge carbs
start to flood then back off a little.

Far eaiser to flog the pump (someone will want it) and get one designed for carbs.

Indeed it seems a shame to use a high pressure (expensive) pump and (more expense) regulator to throttle it down to pissy carb pressure when you could
flog the lot and run a plain vanilla cheap as chips carb pump and have a night out on the beers with the change....
