How do i fit a back plate for a filter?

How do i fit a universal backplate to my throttle boddies for a Pipercross filter??

I dont have anywhere to attach it on the gsxr K5 750 throttle boddies!!

any ideas? and if i cut the holes to the exact size(out side diameter of 54mm) how do i stop them drawing in air??

What I do is...................knock up a set of carbon trumpets , and a carbon backplate .
The cut the the holes in the backplate to fit a little way up the trumpets , and then bond the backplate to the trumpets..........simples





Its cuz I is blond , innit

No rubbers and SVA is next week!!

Been in the garage since ive posted and decided that im going to cut the Holes to 54mm, which i think is the outside diameter of the throttle boddies(cant tell properly ive lost my calipers)

Then fit it over, use 2 small brackets to hold plate in position, then use some silicon tube and jubilee clips(one on each hole) put them on after the plate.
