A question about Ford PATS ecus
Am I right in thinking that a PATS ecu for a Ford is only any good to you if you have a matching set of keys to go with it, or can you trick an engine
into running with one of these?
Cheers

No you need the matching key. I have found no way around it on the ford.
Its easy to use out of the car for cars between 95 and 97 ish. There are just four wires for the antenna
Rx and Tx into the ecu
Perm live and earth.
What do you need ?

If you want to do some reading its an Rdif setup.

I have one that came with my engine, and was wondering whether it was worth putting on ebay, or putting in the skip!

They can be re coded. But the job would cost more than a 96 mondeo would be worth.
Bin. Out of interest whats the name on it ?

You may shift it for a couple of quid to some one to gut it for a megasquirt adapter.
