zx6r carbs running on three cylinders.
hi everyone over the weekend i noticed my car running on three cylinders. i have zx6r carbs fitted and after some investigation discovered that fuel
was coming out of the hole next to the slow pilot air jet (hole to the right onf the jet when you look into the carburettor mouth) on the four
cylinder carb. when reved this clears and it runs on four until the hole starts squirting out fuel again when it returns to 3 cylinders. i've
played with the float level to mixed effect. any suggestions greatfully recieved

Dodgey float needle? Too high fuel pressure? What fuel pump have you got? Are they brass needles or rubber tipped?

Take the top cover off. Sounds like the needle has come out of the diaphram. Had it on mine once.

thanks for the responses. the needle is cited in the diaghram o.k. the hole is at the bottom of the carburettor mouth just below the carb trumpet next
to the slow idle jet. i'm also running a zx6r fuel pump

as someone has already said sounds like a poor seating float valve take it out and check for dirt.
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.
