MS1 map needed urgently
Hi all,
I have inadvertantly deleted the base map on my ms1,just when i was starting
to get somewhere with the tuning.I accidentaly pressed
the wrong button and my engine abruptly stopped.
I have inputted some rough values from an ms2 12x12 table and got it running
again but this is far from ideal.
So,can anyone send me a map that i can load up please?
Dale at Bailey motorsport very kindly sent me a map but it has a 12x12 table
so is no good.
I am running a 2.0 blacktop zetec with ms1.
Any help will be greatly appreciated,as always.
Merry christmas to all the LCB'ers
Cheers,
Andy

Maybe not completely helpful, but log on to Phil's page at extra EFI and download 'extra' version of code with 12x12 tables for
MS1.
You will want this anyway, so now is the time to start, it made mine much more driveable.
Do not forget if upgrading to verify the temp sensors.
Regards Mark

You can download tuner studio for free it has base maps which can be burnt to the MS.
You can upgrade the software to full version for around £30 and then it has a full self learning/mapping mode.
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Dont need hardware mods but you have to plug in a little jumper while you reload the software, which is inside but very easy to do
Go to MSExtra.com you will find the instructions

That's it, boot jumper this defaults everything so if you have used megatherm to set the temp sensors you will need to repeat.
Things change a little bit in the config dashboard as extra features appear so take 10 minutes to familiarise yourself.
If you have a wideband lambda then you can use autotune, it worked for me well enough for me and is part of MS

Hi Andy,
Forgot what you have got now...MS1 with EDIS?
To be honest the "base map" plan is not the best idea anyway, no two setups are the same, you need to install a wideband and tune the
engine from square one by running the engine at idle, tune VE, more throttle, then tune VE and so on. The ignition timing table is not that critical
to get you going. If you get stuck i'll sort it for you if you can get the car to me?

Hi Andy,
I have a Range Rover and good car trailer so can pick the car up for you, give me your postcode and i'll give you a price for collection.
Hope you get it sorted, be careful not to run it too rich for too long (richer than 11AFR at low load will result in bore wash)
