MS adaptor plug?
Could a Megasquirt guru out there tell me if an adaptor is available to plug directly into the ford engine loom so i don't have to make up a
hole new loom?. Or is it not possible.

Its been done and can be done but with the oem ecu having twice the number of sensors to the Ms I would just make a new one using the ford loom as a
donor.
easy, just a little time consuming.

As long as the condition is good including the insulation near the plug I always re-use them.

I'll be running R6 throttle bodies, obviously there will be a few sensor on the zetec that won't be used, but what are the ones i do need
for MS (built system with loom). what should be done with the TB vacuum pipe.
TPS
Crank
oil/water temp?
Lambda?
IAT

About the only sensor from the zetec will be the Crank (cps)
Coolant and air temp sensors tend to be GM with Ms and the zetec Air temp is built into the maf anyway. Tps will come on the Tb,s and that's
about it for the basic batch fired Injection set up.
You could add the O2 for the narrow band feed back and you could add the Cam sensor for sequential injection. Tell the mapper your engine spec and he
will advise you on the set up. My guess is he will tell you to keep it simple.
Cps zetec.
Tps Tb's.
Water temp either scale the donor in the software or use a Gm sensor.
Air temp You may as well buy the Gm sensor.

one other thing, on the support plate next to the coilpack theres a grey box (about 1" square) with a plug on and 1 wire coming out. what is it?

Noise suppressor ie a 20 micro farad capacitor.
Just 1 pin and it connects to the 12v supply that the coil is on and earths through the bracket. Some use it and some don't again ford fitted
it to some years but not all. Instead they twisted the signal wires from the cps ect.
