MS V3

Has taken me all day, but have managed to completely build my MS V3 board and tested OK , quite chuffed now, I had done a tiny bit on the PSU before but has literally taken all day.

BTW I'm using a USB to serial adaptor and have had no probs.

Congrats...are you going to convert it to run the ignition in wasted spark mode and do away with the dizzy, too?

How did you test it? have you also built a stimulator?

What was the make of the serial to USB connector - I have heard that many don't work?

I plan on doing away with the dizzy, but will be getting the engine started and running with the dizzy, then once I'm happy go over to spark control. I have built the board with this in mind.

Don't know what make of USB adaptor (bought awhile ago off the net as I lost my original) it is but.....

I didn't build a stimulator, was fairly adventurous as I'd got most of the engine loom built I used that to test the operation of senders, throttle position, fuel pump o/p, MAP is on the board itself so seen to be correct if the pressure reading is OK (and moves with vacuum and pressure). Not test injector o/p yet though.

Regards

Yes - built a stim.

I've 2 or 3 different makes ; they all work fine - just make sure you install the right drivers.

Some basic electrical knowledge, and a steady hand for the soldering
