Ford ECU's
Can anybody tell me if it is possable to alter the settings, (of the above). I think it's called re-flashing, or something similar. If possable,
how is it done, what would you need to connect to. I know that it would need to go on a rolling road to be done, but not much point booking one if
it's not possable. Thanks Ray.

It will depend on which one you have. I know that the latter version 5's are very difficult to get into and the only company i know who have
cracked it is Superchips. Everyone elst just does chips or piggyback's.

Why not use a Megasquirt and have complete control, and there are plenty of sites / forums about for that added help.

2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

I know a number of people were trying to crack the EEC IV but the real problem is that they are all different. Therefore you have to decode your ecu
then figure out what changes you want and then there is no easy way to upload the code back into the ecu, hence most piggyback the ecu. I ended up
using an Emerald instead.

Scoop, Superchips = £300 for a 10 BHP increase, don't think so.
Wilkingj, Does Mega whatsit work on a six cylinder?.
Schrodinger, think you may have hit the nail on the head, not worth the hassle. I already have 156 BHP on the rolling road, so will settle for
that I think.
Hell it's pretty bloody quick anyway. Thanks all, Ray.
