MAP tube - where from
Hello,
It has occurred to me that I need about 1.5 metre of the small tube that will run between my TBs and my Megasquirt and I don't know what it is
called or where I can get it from. Any ideas?
Cheers

Vacuum tube. All the big suppliers have it; Merlin, Demon Tweekes, Rally Design, etc.

Got mines from good old B+Q.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I hope you're not talking about the clear tubing they sell (much like windscreen washer hose), it softens when it gets warm and will collapse
under vacuum. Proper vacuum hose is available from a motor factors for pennies per metre

Try the/your local ford dealer, I normally buy a small roll (about 1.5- 2.0m length) for a couple of quid. Proper vacuum tube, fuel resistant and the
right diameter.
It is also the perfect diameter to fit/screw into the screw fitting end of a large syringe body from one of those hospital timed injection machines,
making an instant and very locost hydrualic fluid draining device. Put the hose end into the reservoir, suck the fluid out, pump it out of the syringe
into a disposal container and refill the master cylinder. Also the hose is the right diameter to fit onto bleed nipples for bleeding sytems and or
reverse filling/priming.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.
