Anyone willing to give a hand for generous amounts of Beer

As above, having trouble getting MS setup right, starts fine, but running rich as hell and hesitent to rev all the time. As a result I have disconnected O2 (LC-1) and am using external Oxygen sensor. (didn't want to ruin O2 sensor with excessive soot) I have,

Checked base timing @ 6deg
Checked for inlet manifold leaks
Checked Req fuel @ 17.6 (3.9ltr RV8 assuming lucas injectors 185cc/min)
Injector opening time 1.0ms
VE Table calculated on the following:-
230lb ft @ 3000rpm
190Bhp @ 4750rpm
Idle @ 900rpm based on 40kpa Vacuum
Injections p/cycle set to 8
Injection staging set to Alternating

It's always hesitent to rev, the points have been changed for one the of Ignitor things. I get a PW of around 1.7 @ idle. The O2 machine reads around 5.5 to 6.5, it has dropped down to 3.4 but not consistent. I did lower the Req fuel to 13.2 which improved the idle.

Time is looming and I could do with getting this atleast to it will pass emmissons and I'll then be happy I can move on with rest of the build. For ref:-

MSII V3 Fuel Only
Code 2.68
MT 2.25p1
Engine RV8 3.9 with a Mild/Fast CAM

I have tried changing the staging to simultaneous but fails to run at this.

I have attached a log of me faffing at idle, note O2 sensor disabled and using external machine.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Looking at your datalog, two things that look odd are that you are getting random false triggering of ae enrichments and the reported rpm is taking random wild swings in both directions. These symptoms may indicate noise on both the TPS and VR signals, possibly screening problems or the ms ground connections.

TBH you'd probably do best to post your problems on msefi.com - there are guys on there who really know their stuff, and can probably get you sorted pretty quickly.

darrens, where abouts are you. I am just of junction 2 of the M180 and am happy to come around to have a look with you.

I have an LC1 running on mine and have it set up very well.

Sorted, a combination of faulty fuel pressure regulator, fluctuating MAP reading wasn't noise, was caused by the high duration CAM, a mild restriction put in the vaccum line (to act as a smoothing device) sorted the tick-over problem out.

Ticks over sound now and will rev progessively up the range. Just need to sort out Accel enrichments now, if you go to full throttle instantly it lags and coughs slightly. If you do a mild swing of the throttle it's fine, just does it with a very quick reaction on the loud pedal. Emmissions also sorted, down to 1.6 on CO2.
