anyone used an Intank Fuel pump ?
I was wondering if a neat solution woule be to use a fuel pump from a Fiesta, or a KA, or even a Sierra, where the fuel pump and sender are the same
unit, in the tank from the top?
Has anyone tried this?

The Rover 600 one it has a nice 6 bolt flange mounting

ok, thats good, cause i think it will save money etc...
do you know if they are compatible with most gauges? ETB in particular?
Also, i have always been concerned about the fact that there is electrical gubbins inside the tank in close proximity to petrol!!! any concernes?

planning on using a rover 200 / 25 one when i go FI. Mate used to design them and got me a 'display' unit  )
but its a LONG way off. Advantage of the unit i've got is built in swirl pot / pump / fuel gauge / return line combo.

The air space fuel tank is saturated with vapour way above both the explosive and flammable limits, no chance of any problem.
A lot of newer models also put the fuel pump regulator and filter inside the tank doing away with the need for a return line.

My Landy one has a 6 bolt flange and even adjusts to whatever tank depth you are using. Pump, swirl pot & sender all in one - saves a lot of
messing about.

well, i managed to win
this tonight..
my plan is to adapt it like the article in the current total kitcar magazine.
if i can get it to work, thats a sender and a pump for £12 - which is a bargin.
does anyone know if the ETB gauge works off this?

Im using a rover 800 pump, 6 bolt flange which might the same as the 600 BT mentioned. Its about the right depth for a 7 tank but no swirl pot...
Im going to make a swirl pot style insert for the pump to locate in inside the tank. It was done like that in my old scorp and seemed to work well.
