Which lamdba sensor for ZETEC with MS??
i had a one but it went missing, what 4 wire wide band lambda can i buy to go with the MS can any one tell me???/

Are you wanting one to tune the engine or to fit once it's tuned?

All narrowband lambda sensors are the same as far as MS is concerned. They give out a signal voltage between 0v and 1v. 12v is supplied to the heater
at all times, easiest from the fuel pump output on MS (or the injector +12v output).

Im going to use it to tune the engine and leave it in so i pass my emissions etc!

my Ms was setup to take a four wire and the guy who made it obviously knows his stuff and said to use it.
so im using a four wire if i can, although i have a spare 2 wire at the moment from my spare car with a red and white wire(not sure what is what) but
not sure if i can get away with that for now!!
my car has 285 cams, throttle boddies and some head work...will it pass emmisions???
Ps im not fussed about the cost i just want the best option

Sorry, I meant all 4-wire sensors are essentially the same. Other numbers of wires will all work fine with MS but 4-wire should give best results. As
far as the signal output is concerned they are identical though, so are interchangeable with MS.
1-wire - signal out only
2-wire - signal and earth (better signal accuracy)
3-wire - signal out only with heater (heater ensures good readings even with low exhaust gas temp)
4-wire - signal and earth, plus the heater
You can happily use your 2-wire temporarily; I expect the white wire goes to ground at the MS and the red to O2 sensor input. It won't matter if
they are the wrong way round, you just won't get a signal. Obviously wherever your 4-wire sensor got its heater supply from will remain
unconnected.

1/2/3/4 wire Zirconia sensors are essentially the same.

A very few cars use Titania sensors
This is the correct standard 4 wire Zirconia european/us colour coding -- Japaneses cars use different colours.
Heater element has 2 White wires --- one is power the other earth -- dosen't matter which way round.
Grey is signal earth
White is Signal.
Both grey and white wires go all the way to the ECU.

You want a wideband Lambda Kris.
The cheaper narrowband is basically a switch, It will say, rich or lean. but not how rich or lean.

if you plan on tuning MS yourself, buy a innovate lc-1 wideband sensor, if your gona have car put on the rollers then any 4 wire item will do

Cheers scott i relise that now mate its just a cause of ordering the right one!
Thats the one i originally had before it got removed(  )....... a innovate lc-1 wideband sensor
i just had the 02 sensor and not the full kit like this....anyone used the full kit with megasquirt??

289 dollars for the o2 sensor, the LC1 controller and software and the digital air/fuel guage for the dash.

hi, graham goode motorsport has them on the shelf in liecester for £145.00 only place i found with them in stock......great piece of kit as far as MS
in concerned...a little setting up is required but then its great.....will read actual mixture from 8:1 to 20:1....a must have!!!!
