efi fuel pumps

Hi guys, sorry to post a new topic but I fear it may get overlooked otherwise.

I'm getting ready to buy my fuel system next week and as I'm thinking of fitting a swirl pot I need to buy a low and high pressure pump.

Anyone know where I can get a high flow low pressure pump, I don't know what pressures I need to be looking for and don't want my swirl pot to be starved by an underactive pump!

Many thanks.

Pretty much most carb pumps will be high flow / low pressure.

You could use something like a facet (pretty cheap and commonly sourced).

I'm planning on using my current bike carb pump as my LP pump.

I had a swirlpot on my latest car (Audi S2 - 450 bhp)
I just used the originally pump to fill the pot and bought a hi-spec for the fuelrail.
Still running after 4 years.

I don't understand why swirl pots are always made so big!! A swirl pot of litres is not uncommon. Weber do a very nice dinky swirl pot but it's £100!!!!

Bizarre..... you can get a header tank or catch tank for £30 but swirls are always a lot more...

Hmm, I am having a fair amount of trouble tracking one down. There doesnt seem to be any on ebay. I'm going to buy an aftermarket BMW replacement pump for the high pressure fitting, but theres nothing that appears usable for low pressure/high flow. All the low pressure pumps deliver about 1ltr/hr .

I'm looking for swirl pots too and think the smallest I can get is 1 litre and even that seems a little excessive?

The ine in the pic is 1.1 L.
That´s more than enough at these powers.
I build it myself at work. 0 £

Here's mine, cost nowt.

8" of ali tube, welded a baffle in the middle with a hole in the centre, capped the ends and added an exit at the bottom, two fillers at an angle to swirl and a return at the top.

Apart from not wanting to spend money I was looking at biscuit tine in morrisons, stainless steel 1litre for £3 but discarded as to large in the end, its now my oil catch tank.

When I thought about it I decided height was more important than volumn so thats what I made.

The inlet pipes are from B&Q, they sell a nice range of hollow tubes for a couple of quid these days.
