Blade max power/rpm
I'm finally filling in SVA forms and need to know at what rpm 893cc blade develops max power? (Not listed in Haynes manual specs and tried
searching on here to no avail )

I'm not 100% Andy, but I think it might be 11250

10000 to 10500, anywhere around their should be ok

Cheers, guys.
Think I'll put it at 10,000rpm, then. (I presume its less than 11,250 as the redline starts at 11k)

The 893 Blade delivers max power at 10,500 rpm. You should get away with 10,000 at SVA.

Out of interest, do people know what the max power is (and redline) for the 919rrv engine?
Again the Haynes manual doesn't say and I need to programme the DigiDash2.

Not being cute, but try putting CBR900RR or CBR 919 (etc.) and dyno chart into google. You should be able to find a fair sample of them.

Yeah you would think so but the vast majority of dyno graphs are for the CBR1000 engine or a detuned 900 engine from a Hornet.

Funny Ive been trying to google and search same thing for my 919
My DD1 saids its revving to 11,875 when the limiter comes in yet from what I can gather they peak at 10,500 (130bhp) so Id assume they rev only a few
hundred rpm more
My DD1 needs to be finely setup too. Saying that tickover reads 1100rpm which sounds about right when running

11,750 is the stock limiter on the carbed blade IIRC.

The highest i saw on my digidash1 with my blade was 11995 rpm,but agree with the rev limit Chris stated

Ah yeah that seems ok. Max poer being at 10,500 too as although it'll go right upto 11750 it feels like its peaked around a thousand earlier.
Looked everywhere for max rpm on google so cheers for info

You can get up to a 1000 rpm increase in the rev limit on a 919 by using a CBR 600 cdi unit in place of the blade one. It actually provides what I
feel is a much nicer power delivery (feels torquey!) and I much prefer it!

Really? As in direct swap? What yr 600??
Is the 919 really comfortable to redline at nearly 13k???
Does the std map allow the benefits of the engine revving that last k as well?
Sorry lots of questions - never heard or something like that before and it sounds a cheap mod

Yes really! Its a direct swap. I used the same year CDi as my blade engine so 98. I have subsequently installed a replacement engine which was a 97
and it been fine. I deduce from this that its not too important what model year you use!
I use mine in a race application. From memory I have only ever hit the up lifted rev limiter once or twice. The reason for the swap is that it gives
me a bit more headroom and stops plug damage from bouncing off the rev limiter which I used to do regularly with the 900 CDi. Its also seems a better
map. I can't tell you why, it just gives me a better power delivery for my application.
My view is that Mr Honda would have put a conservative rev limiter on, just like the conservative fuel maps on cdi turbo engines, hence the easy power
increases. If I want to extract all I can from the engine, then the extra 1k revs when racing is pretty useful!
I don't believe this 'trick' to be a big secret? Try one and see! The CDi units are relatively cheap!

Yeah think I will. If they dont cost loads and I fit it and find I dont like it then theres little loss.
Im not too botherd bout the engine tbh. There cheap to rebuild/replace if it all went pear shaped!
Ebay: Item 120305479811
Does it actually give more BHP or is it just to hold revs higher?
