As a random guess, I'd suspect that it's an SEi diff, i.e. an English diff in a Westfield case. It was made for the first IRS Westies.
Has the flange worked loose? I had this on my Striker (live English axle) and got away with taking off the nut, applying Loctite and torqueing it up
again.
Spin 'er off Well...

I can only see oil coming from the breather, what would cause this, never happened with the x-flow fitted?
Further investigation tonight to find where the "play" is coming from to hit the sender

Sussed the problem tonight
The centre prop mounting, looks like its twisted on its mountings, which would cause the prop to be off centre

I can't see the reasoning behind that "doing more revs" post on there. The diff is still turning the same at any given speed. If the
oil is coming out of the breather I suspect it would be because you have too much in there. The play in the centre mount will only cause the movement
you mentioned but was it vibrating more than normal?
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
