Fuel pump

Anyone using one of these fuel pumps, or any exprience of them?

Seems a bit cheap at the side of even some used units....

I bought one, offered £20 inc p&p and got it.

Not used it yet. there is a part number on them that comes up on google as being bosch.

They look like a bosch copy ?

They certainly do look like a Bosch copy.
If you take away the blue covering it might even say Bosch underneath as well!!!

Might not though

These will be cheap chinese fuel pumps for that money,I would not risk using one,if it starts to fail and your fuel pressure drops, particularly on a high reving bike engine, you can soon wreck your engine, you pay your money and take your choice, but I would pay the extra,go for a bosch or a sytec.

No mate, particularly on high performance engines, like bike engines, and all other very high performance n/a engines and all turbo charged engines, these rely on the fuel pressure to help cool the piston crown and combustion chamber, maintaining fuel pressure is critical,a drop in fuel pressure at high revs ,can cause detonation and melt a piston very quickly, this only takes a few seconds at 13,000 rpm+

Not particularly high performance, 1.8 zetec with 130 cams and eventually GSXR750 TB's, should be in the region of 140bhp, so I recon I'll be ok.
