Fuel tank pressure release
Is this normally done my the fuel filler cap? I hadnt thought about it until today and id rather not encourage the leaking.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Those arent suitable for fuel injection as I found out earlier in the year. You need something to let air in an out. Otherwise you build up a huge
amount of pressure in the tank and the cheap ones then leak anyway.
You need a 2 way valve.
I ordered one direct from Newton Equipment.
You need one of these:

TPV8 is what I have. They are the best as they dont let fuel vapour escape either so you get rid of the smell of petrol in the garage too.

Not neccescelery
I used a fitting which screws into a flexible pipe and fitted it to the filler tube. Made by revotec.
Burton power sell them, search for 'revotec self sealing'
I only had 2 connections on the tank, one feed and one return, so decided to fit the breather into the filler neck.
Works fine, no probs to date
Just to say, I just have a short length of hose connected to the breather inlet, then the other ends tube loops down under the level of the back of
the car
