Bike carbs, what are they worth?

A friend has asked me to sell his bike carbs, manifold, filter and linkages from Kitpartsdirect and was wondering what you guys and girls thought they were worth?

I believe he paid £400 all in, they have never been fitted. He's just realised that they will over fuel his 1600 pinto!

ATB Dan. P.s. i'm open to sensible offers

can't he just change the needles to reduce fueling.

if it a bogg bro's manifold?

what bike carbs are they?

piper cross filter and backplaye retail at £95 ish, but he won't get that for it.

if they are good carbs and a bogg manifold, he might see £250-£350, maybe.

piper cross £ 40 new tops
carbs, off ebay £ 30 to £ 50 tops

dunno about manifold, but £ 100, certainly not more than £ 200.

Bear in mind they are now S/H so the supplier is unlikley to honour any warranty, I'd say £ 150, to £ 200 tops.

but then, what do I know.

what are the carbs

if they are zx9rs I'll be interested in the filter and back plate.

Alternatively could you measure the trumpet spacing

Whats he putting on it instead then??

With the alloy trumpets unless they are extras they must be cbr or something? Id say theyr just right for a 1.6 pinto. Jetted right.

As said they look like Honda cbr so prob fireblade and 38mm.

The filters are more like £90
You will be hard pushed to get a set of blade carbs for less than £50 at the moment.

They will be fine on the 1.6 if jetted ok and he can rejet them if he wants to get a 2.0
