there is 2 different software packages i used to tune mine, Megatune and Tunerstudio. But when you take a datalog you need Megalog viewer. The
different packages tell you what they want with regards to connecting it to the ECU
Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary... that's what
gets you.

You will need to run MSnS (squirt and spark) MS Extra code to run both the fuelling and ignition side.
I have done a rough ar$e base map for my charged duratec which wouldnt need much fiddling to change to NA if you want me to do one for you? (Comes
with no gurantees though and I will need to know a few things about your ecu).
You also need to decide what route you are going down for the ignition side. Whether you want to go edis or built in coil drivers.

Hi Stuart,
You need to have a look here:
http://www.msextra.com
At the manuals as there are internal mods you need to do to the unit in order to use it with EDIS.
If you are unsure about doing the mods yourself, get in touch with Phil at extraefi (google it) and ask him to give you a price to configure the ECU
for you. This is probably the easiest thing in all fairness.
Read the manuals carfefully, but only those parts that relate to your install otherwise its gets very confusing.

I couldnt agree more. Decide how you are using your system, then only look at the pages for those parts.
The manual covers many different things ie the ignition section is 2" thick, and I only needed half a dozen pages!.
This is what makes megasquirt so daunting for some.
I used a highlight pen and put a line thru all the pages I didnt need. It makes it easier to work with!
