Programable or not ?

I can not make my mind up on what ecu to use.

You lot decide.

I have a Dta e48exp that just needs mapping. Its going to give me around 165bhp on my engine. I can upgrade the engine with head work, cam's and forced induction along with a remap and get 200bhp plus.

I also have the eec_v from a mondeo. Its going to give me 150bhp with my engine. It needs no mapping and I am sure it will pass Iva and mot's with no work on it. It will give good mpg and easy starting.
Its plug and play-ish and gives me on board OBD2 diagnostics so I can plug my scanner in. It cant really be upgraded much but then again will I need to.

Back to the garage to play some more

Id keep the OEM EEC_V in the garage, and go for a custom programmable purely so you can play with different bits of the engine, add a turbo, supercharger, different cams etc without too much worry about the ECU.

Kindest Regards,
Richard.
