Weber Alpha throttle linkage

Hi all,

I'm running a Weber Alpha Gold injection system. Fantastic response on the open road but difficult to drive in traffic. The accellerator is very stiff initially making pulling away at roundabouts and junctions a little hairy. Squeeze, squeeze, nothing then suddenly 1/2 throttle wheels spinning and rear end kicks out, gulp!!

I've checked and lubricated linkage and cables, is it just a case of strong springs on the Weber throttle linkage and I'll have too learn to live with them or can they be replaced??

Anybody else used Weber Alpha??

I don't think its down to the kit as they are all standard and that is not a common problem.

Couple of things to check would be the cable route, are there tights bends in the cables that restrict the movement of the cable in the sheath?

Also, is the throttle pedal done up to tight, this should be able to move freely so maybe the throttle pedal itself is sticky?

and one last thing, are the cable sitting on the webber throttle linkage correctly, I recently did some work on my pedals and the cable had gone lose and then wasn't in its runners properly.

HTH
