Congrats.
You must share some of this knowledge with the rest of we mere mortals some day.
You might also want to try an exhaust on it...

Both doors open and for less than a min' me thinks no harm done
There is ne real great secret to using the ecu, just lots of wires. I cant really give instructions as the pin numbers and wire colours change between
model spec and year.
You need the key with the Rdif chip that is matched to the ecu but thats about it.
I am hoping to have a go at a newer car with more security when I can.

Its a Griffin style one that I bought s/h and cut up and welded back together. Ive also added an idle control valve from a ford Ka.
It also Runs OBD2 Diagnostics. Port is above batery. I can plug my scanner in and check for faults and get real time info on all the sensors.

cant the requirement for the key be done away with ?? or can the barrel be fitted in place of the sierra item may offer a further level of security if
the ignition could also be used

Yeh The Mondeo barrel will go into the sierra colum no problem and the aerial goes on aswell. Ive held it in place with a blob of pu.
This gives you a thatcham Cat b Immobilizer.
No getting around it unless you find some one that can re program the ecu.
Its no big deal to use, just four wires and it adds the Immobilizer.

Its also possible to use the RS2000 mk5 ecu. I'm putting one on a zetec in a sierra.
