Fuel pressure regulator positioning

Unfortunately, my fuel pressure regulator just fouls the underside of the bonnet. So my question is whether or not it is important for it to be the highest point in the fuel system (which it currently is) and whether or not it needs to be installed vertically. It's the standard item on a 2 litre cosworth engine, if that matters.

Cheers Alex

Hi,the most important thing is that its on the return and not too far from the plenum so you can attach the pressure/vacuum pipe.
I would keep it vertical and make an adaptor to drop it down a little.
i assume your using a cossie engine?
I may have a spare fuel rail knocking about if you need one for a small fee and you apear quite local.
