New throttle bodies !
Well..............after a winter of doing nothing much to my own car , now the weather has warmed up I have finally been busy in the garage
I fancied re-working my throttle bodies , and wondered if they could be turned round - with the injectors in the middle , and the linkage at the rear
(where there is a whole load more space )
And tonight I got them bolted onto the engine !
A bit of a bonus is that the inlet is now dead straight - you can see the valves on full throttle
I wonder if I can get it finished for Stoneleigh.......................
Its cuz I is blond , innit

Hi Claire!
We went through a similar exercise with our 'blade engined Phoenix. It was necessary to turn the airbox the wrong way round and the simplest
arrangement was to turn the throttle bodies too. This of course means that the injectors now fire up into the roof of the inlet ports like yours now
do.
We did initially wonder if this alteration might cause major fuelling problems but I can report that apart from a slight flat spot at around 6K
everything seems OK. We are fitting a Power Commander to deal with the flat spot. Hopefully.
Have you run the new configuration yet? Anything to report?
Geoff.

I've just returned from work with the one last bit needed to finish off the fuel system - a quick coffee while the thread sealer sets , and I
will see if it runs
Turning the `bodies round on mine has put the injectors in a similar position to the stock set-up , just a bit further away from the valves , so
I'm hoping for better fuel consumption now (although the straighter inlets may give more power )

Well.................after a bit of fiddling with the balance...............
ITS ALIVE !
I did try to shoot some video , but I cant work my phone and the batteries in my camcorder are flat..............shame , cuz DAMN it's
responsive (oh , and it sounds quite nice too )
Strange thing is I have had to richen it up a little at tickover , despite running the same injectors/map and fuel pressure ? Oh well - might have to
drive it around a bit and do some mapping
Its cuz I is blond , innit
