Fuel return location?

Rather than feeding the fuel return into the main part of my tank, I could feed it into the "sump" on the bottom of the tank. The idea being that this might help reduce starvation when the fuel is low/cornering by feedig the excess fuel back into the sump where it came from.

Would this fuel entering below the fuel level, create bubbles that would get sucked into the pickup pipe?

I'd be more concerned about the return acting as a drain and removing fuel from your sump.

That's exactly what i do. No problems over the last 10000km and i can run the tank dry without fuel starvation issues. Go for it!

Don't know how... unless you're thinking of a return from a swirl tank? Mine is, Pick-up - HP pump - filter - fuel rail - return - tank. So the return has no way to drain fuel from the tank.

Hadn't thought about it being warmer. Doubt it'd make a significant difference when levels were adequate, but when low, warm fuel is better than no fuel.

Fi filter should be after the pump. I've got a gauze on the pickup.
