Consumption MK INDY

Hi all,

I am having fuel level issues with my MK Indy and I believe I have now traced it to a faulty fuel sender, I think I have located one through Europa Spares, but until I get it resolved I don't want to miss out on the nice weather.

So this is my question.....what will I expect to get to the gallon from a 2ltr Zetec Blacktop fuel injected.

Kind regards

Peter (Greenie)

approximately 40m if bought from Asda (its on the packet - i did have a photo).

MPG will depend on driving style .... ragging it or gentle run?

Why not make a dip stick, fill to the top, drive for a bit, when bored or after 45 minutes get out and 'dip'. Make a note of distance and driving style. Every time you set out go via the filling station and you'll soon have a good idea. Also take a little green can full and a gps with petrol stations in it just in case you go to far.

If your driving it how its meant to be you will get nearer to 25mpg or less.Mine does 30ish on a steady run but drops to about 20 when driven hard on B roads.
