Megasquirt Ordering
DIYAutotune have another offer on this weekend so I want to get my megasquirt kit ordered up. Before I press the button to order I thought it might be
a good idea to run it past you guys and check that I am ordering the correct thing.
I will be running a 1800 silvertop zetec, on GSXR throttle bodies, and keeping the EDIS for limp home.
My Basket is the following:
MSII on a v3 board-

Stim-

Loom-

I have the RS232 cable from a previous mejajolt install.
Any comments, suggestions or criticisms welcome??

If you have any doubts ask them when ordering, they are very helpful and will also make sure you get all the bits you need to match your engine.

same here. I didnt bother with the loom, i used the
plug that came with the kit and bought a fuse box and
a pair of relays. It was real easy to wire up and a fraction
of the cost.

I am in 2 minds to the loom tbh... I'm quite happy wiring up a connector but what I like about the DIYAutotune version is the printed text on
each wire.

Hi, just one comment, lots of people say EDIS gives you limp home, this is not the case, if you loose the SAW signal from the MS to the EDIS then the
timing is fixed at 10deg. If the MS fails or the PIP signal is lost the engine will stop. Not really limp home. Having said that EDIS is still the way
to go if your using a 36-1 wheel. Nice and simple, no dwell settings to worry about.
Look out for a 2L lump if i was you, the extra torque is really noticeable.
