Fuel Injection copper pipe and hose setup.

Having been shown and told the possible error of my ways if I choose to have a Braided Hose for the full flow and return, what is the suggested way of connecting from the Copper pipe to the ITB's and Fuel tank.


I really would like to have braided fuel hose either end of my copper runs, but how do I connect the braided hose to the copper on a Fuel injection system with higher pressure.


Any pictures of anyones setup or link to suitable sites would be much appreciated

double flair the end of the copper pipe like a brake pipe then put the hose on and jubalee clip, the flair will act like a bead does on a radiator pipe

my pipe was hard to flare, so i have soft soldered olives from compression fittings on the end





I'd love to give my imaginary friend a great big hug,

but this jacket makes it impossible.

Use a decent pipe flaring tool but do not use a double flare and then use proper fuel hose clips DO NOT use Jubilee clips as they are more likely to cause a leak.

why not use a double flare, if you use a single then it leaves a sharp edge which will cut into the rubber and potently over time cause damage to the hose

There may be some confusion with terminology. As I understand, a double flare is a single flare (male) with the end pushed-in to make the end concave (female).

I did the 8mm olive route soldered onto the pipe thing as did not have a flare tool, also used jubilee clips and no leaks for last 8 years and 10k miles...

nothing wrong with my flaring tool,(snap on) it was jut the pipe that came from where i used to was very hard....
