fireblade carbs

just want any tips on fitting fire blade bike carbs ie air jet (near the float bowl )how many turns out do .i need to move the needle clip ? i have drilled the main jet just need some advice,iam running a 1600 crossflow

Sorry i can't give you much info because i have Kawasaki zx9r carbs but i will try if i can .
What size drill have you used to drill the main jets ?
for a 1.6 engine i don't think you will need to be bigger then 1.5mm
The best info i can give is get it started then get it on a rolling road before you use the car
As you may know if you run the fuel / air mix too week you may / will do damage

What I do know is that when Daddy Bogg set mine up on my 1300cc Skoda Estelle trials car he cut a good third off the length of the main springs. Think he reset the circlip on the needle if memory serves well (he certainly did something with the needle anyway!!) Also remember that the main jets are the same size and thread as Webber jets which is useful.
