Mk Indy now has a boot!!
Having had the car for a year now I felt the need to have a little boot space..
So I cut a flap on my tank cover
 
Description
Purchased some sheet metal for a tenner and made a few cuts with my good old black & decker jigsaw
 
Description
Powder coated it and then it was out with the rivit gun and popped it in place
 
Description
For the lid I used a lock for a letterbox, works a treat.
Your either gonna love or hate

Ive now got 2400 sq inches of boot, awesome..

I had a 2 part parcel-shelf (boot lid) I made for my Tiger.
After loosing 50% of the lid on the motorway it was nicknamed the Partial-shelf.
Mk2 is a lot better but after looking at yours I can't help feeling I could have done better.

Nicely done.
I can never understand why so many sevens don't have one. It's just wasted space otherwise and it's not like a seven is blessed with
a lot of storage.
I'm guessing the lid's not water tight; Have you put drain holes in the bottom?

But at least you now have somewhere to store waterproofs just in case. I can recommend Aldi dry bags though they are a bit large sometimes. Sports
direct often have smaller Karrimor ones.

Great advice mate. Never thought of using them.. Will put them on my list to Santa
Whats the biggest one they do??? May be I can put the whole car in one and cut away the corners for the wheels. Should keep me nice and dry

I have a couple of thease roll bags in the car, waterproof low cost and pack up small.

The Aldi ones are all one size; 15lts I think but only available when on offer or left over stock. The karrimoor ones come in anything from tiny 1/2lt
(big enough for a pair of gloves and hat) upward.

Nice boot,
If I was not so weight conceous (and have fabric rear shelf) I would consider it. A boot just promotes you to store something in it!!
I used a Karrimor 70ltr bag for all of my belonings both times I went to the ring. They are very robust and good. They melt with contact from petrol
though. . . .
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Having a bit extra weight over the axle may help to calm her down a little after all its a BEC

i have got the elise one. have been out in really nasty rain and nothing inside got wet and no matter how mad i drive the car i cant get it to fall
off or come lose
