Fuel Injection plumbing questions, and has anyone used Torques before for JIC fittings?

Hi All

I'm putting the order together for my fuel line, filter, regulator, etc. and have been discussing it with Torques (massive ebay shop).

I've had great comms from them, and are confident they'll supply well. My questions are around the following;
1) a lot of their stuff is own-brand. Has anyone used it? Was it satisfactory?
2) there are two different kinds of fuel filters stocked - 10 micron sytec and their own brand at 30 micron. Is there an appreciable gain to be had with one over the other?
3) They have a sytec regulator as well as their own - anyone used either - do you have a preference and why?
4) I'm tempted to fit an electronic fuel pressure gauge so i can monitor it from inside the car - worthwhile or just dial in 3.5 bar and forget about it?

I'm going to plumb my fuel line in teflon hose and their -6 fittings, so once it's done I should be able to not worry about springing a leak.

Cheers

Yeah their JIC fittings are good, though the anodizing is delicate!

I've been dealing with Andy, and have had great service in speccing what I want. So, Cloudy - it will be worth buying the special spanner and vice jaws then?

TimC - I assume I will have to provide the obligatory mass of pictures to sate you and the locost appetite?

Here's the inevitable piece of eye candy then - a bracket recently designed - not sure it I'll have it made though

Not really for me Chap. I just want to know if they go together as they should and prove reliable.

I will certainly let you know - hopefully they'll arrive this weekend. I'm also ordering the vice and spanners so I should be able to protect the shinyness.

Just so you all know - the order arrived today (which was ordered on Friday, so good next day service). Everything was well packaged, bang on time from the time of asking. I did get a lot of good support from Alex putting the order together and whilst I think I got a very good price, I appreciate that that level of product knowledge also comes with a price, and I'd far sooner work with a company like this than a nameless faceless website.

It'll be a while before I get to assemble this so I'll let you know in good time how solid the results are, but all looks excellent.

cheers
