Repairing fuel pump bucket?

Ok, so I need to modify the plastic bucket that holds the injection pump inside my fuel tank.

Parts to be stuck together are both plastic, one being the inspection cover of the tank and the other being the Fiesta plastic bucket I'm using.

Is solvent weld cement any good with petrol??

Specifically what kind of adhesive/sealant can use inside the tank?

I used the plastic solvent weld when I modified my fuel filler neck 2 years in no problems. you could always try polymorph or polymorf not 100% on the spelling which is a plastic that when dropped into boiling water sotens to a product that is muldable then sets back to its solid state. Available from Ebay and maplins
