Do I need intake air temp for megasquirt controlling spark

I'm heading home from uni for a week and a bit and want to start wiring my megasquirt into my engine. I have throttle bodies but don't have the fuel pump or FPR yet, so I would like to try and run spark on my engine with carbs installed.

I have coolant sensor, and TPS on the carbs.

Can I get spark working on my engine without an intake air temperature sensor? using alpha-N from my TPS for my engine load.

Would just like to make some noise and have a sense of accomplishment for the week.

Dave

There should be no problem. I've been running spark only and without an air temp sensor for years on my 3SGE MS1 V3 install.

As I thought, the main sensor needed other than the TPS is engine coolant sensor which I have so timing can be changed to warm up the engine.

Thanks

Dave
