F27 Fuel Tank
My F27 was originally fitted with a carb'd pinto engine, this was then upgraded to the a fuel injected zetec engine with GSXR throttle
bodies.
To my knowledge the fuel tank hasn't been touched, and it appears to have 2 lines going into the tank with the sender at the top of the tank.
These appear to have just been cut off and left, so when filling the tank up and driving it fairly hard I get fuel leaking from these lines.
My question is, is there a fuel tank off the shelf that would fit the car that is meant for the fuel injected system, I also want something that will
stop the fuel starvation when cornering hard too. Or would anyone recommend somewhere in the south where I could get a new one fabricated?
Any help would be appreciated.

So where exactly are your fuel in/out lines at the moment?
What fuel pumps have you got?
Normal solution for fuel starvation is a swirl pot that is fed by a low pressure pump, with a high pressure pump taking it from here to the
injectors.
Other option is a bike fuel pump with a built in swirl pot which is installed in the bottom of the tank (i have one for sale).
Maybe some pics of your setup would help?

It's a very strange set up at the moment... it looks like the fuel tank has 2 sections internally, with an external line going from one to the
other which then goes to the pump and through to the engine, with a return line coming back to the tank, I will try and get a picture as it is very
difficult to explain.
Do bike fuel pumps do a good enough job then?

That does sound very strange.... a picture tells a thousand words...
i believe there's plenty of people who have used bike pumps without problem.
You won't have the capacity of a proper swirl tank, but if your tank is how you describe i'm not 100% sure it would work anyway...

Any ideas what pump set up to use?
I have found a new tank that I may be able to use, this has a sump in the bottom of it, could I use a high pressure pump directly from this?
I have found a facet red top fuel pump fairly cheap, would this work?

can anyone advise?
I have neglected this for a while now, whilst replacing the engine but want to get it all sorted.
I have managed to source a new plastic tank with a sump in the bottom.
any advice on what pump to use?
Thanks in advance!

There are a couple of sites where to get approximate fuel consumption based on HP of the engine.
Once you know HP, you can get Maximum Fuel Flow.
If the pump can flow this amount -or more, then you are OK.
Hope this helps.
