Ford Zetec SE / Sigma inlet dimensions

Does anyone have the dimensions for the Ford Zetec SE (AKA Sigma) inlet ports, particularly length, width and spacing. Either the 1.6 or 1.7 as fitted to the Fiesta, Focus and Puma will do.

Many thanks in advance.

I've got a 1.6 SE head in front of me and the ports are 46mm wide x 31mm high and kidney shaped. They are on a 86/87mm spacing.

Hope this helps,
Ed.

Bit of a thread revival!

Can someone with a Zetec-SE head or inlet manifold / gasket lying about please try and measure the circumference of the inlet port for me (ignoring the injector lip).

I've done a calculation based on the 46mm x 31mm values given above (123mm), but that's assuming the port is elliptical... which it isn't quite.

Thanks in advance.

it is closer to two semicircles linked by straight lines, based on 31mm high x 46mm long -

Circumference = 31xPi + (46-31)/2 = 127.4mm

Area = (31/2)^2 x Pi + 31x(46-31) = 1220mm^2

Equivalent area circular diameter = sqrt(705/pi)*2 = 39.4mm

Hope this helps.
