what are these and do I need them? cbr900 itbs
So, ive got some throttle bodies for my efi 'conversion', and can repace these to fit my bike carb manifold
These are from a cbr929, and need to respace the middle by 9mm
Extending the throttle linkage is fine, but whats the valve thing between the 2 bodies on the left, with 2 hose connections, it appears to operate a
shaft which acts on 4 valves. Do I need it on a car engine? Can I remove it entirely? Or should I really be looking at extending it? What does it
connect to?
Theres a load of vacuum pipes too, can I just remove them all or plug them? I'll be using throttle position, so presumably I don't need
the vacuum lines?
I'll obviously need to extend the fuel rail, but have been advised to get a weber alpha regulator, so that should be ok

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I threw the valve thing away, mine had a manual idle twiddly thing I think that is some kind of anti stall.
You will need the vacuum pipes, they all gather together and go to your MAP sensor and the fuel pressure regulator.

Cheers Mark!
After hours spent searching the internet, I found mention of wax. Makes me wonder if its an automatic choke system? Two coolant connections in and out
and a thermostat?
I guess if I cut the shaft, if it turns out I need it I can weld an extension in later. I expect megasquirt will take care of it all itself
Are you using the whole engine and ecu? It's a vauxhall engine and megasquirt I'll be using, so MAP I don't think is needed since
I've got throttle position?

Maybe automatic choke then, it went into the bin as I set idle with the balance screws and twiddle up when cold.
Mine went onto a 918 carbed engine so I could turbo, I force air in and the twiddly thing bleeds air to raise rpm so it leaks boost, just gets
twiddled off once it's hot enough to idle on its own.
The FPR seems to do the business, I run a v12 jag fuel pump without any issues
