This your new toy?

What scope was it? Did it come with an amps clamp and HT pick-up?

Is it possible to invert the HT capture so it is displayed in the conventional way?

The HT parade looks very odd, I wonder if it is because the sample rate isn't high enough?

My ancient and pretty useless Vellerman HPS10 got zapped so I bought a Hantek 1008 and also a DSO nano 201v3.

The DSO nano after upgrading the firmware to Ben-F is just the thing for doing quick and dirt jobs like tracking down duff wheel sensors or no-starts. However my version has no USB card can't save waveforms or stetups.

The Hantek 1008 while exactly not the fastest scope world is a great tool for the money, the software takes a lot of getting used to and the help menu is useless but comes with a menu giving software presets for automotive diagnostics and an ignition secondary pick-up and for £53 inc P&P delivered in 48hrs from a UK supplier is a lot of bang per buck. At that price if get zapped it is no big deal. The real weak point with is the software it took me about 3 hours to get the drivers installed and switch the software to English. As it comes out the box it has all 8 channels switched on and the processor is overloaded, but once the number of running channels is cut to a sensible number the speed becomes adequate to car work.

Re-spark parade the Hantek will invert the signal but I only found it yesterday it was buried deep in the menu as a math function menu. The sparks parade on the zoomed out image is a bit odd but it seems to be display problem rather than a data capture problem with the Hanteck software, when zoomed on in each spark event looks normal.

I am using a Hanteck CC65 current probe --- nice bit of kit price has come down a lot at less £40 from eBay I couldn't resist.

I have a COP pick-up probe on order (£30) from Scantool direct so that should be interesting.
