Another TPS Question
I bought a cheapo Ford TPS, I don't think it was much more than a fiver so probably not much good, but, it enabled me to mod the throttle body
to take a tps, and not risk damaging an expensive one.
Question is, should it be spring return, or do they rely on a really good fit on the shaft to return to the idle position?
Its the common Ford type:

No internal spring, exactly the same in operation ad the volume control on an old style TV or Radio.

Some Ford TPS's have a spring return, there are also left and right rotational Ford TPS. The spring
return type use a blade rather than a D shaft.
I have an anti clockwise sprung TPS if that helps, I also have the Duratec throttle body that came with it But it is
only 58mm bore.

Cheers guys, I'd better be careful filing the flats on the shaft then.
Yeah, 58mm bore would be a bit small Dave....

You are welcome to the TPS and the throttle body for reference.
