Autosport this weekend NEC
Massive show this weekend, not a kit car show but GBS and MEV and a few other kit car related firms/manufacturers will be exhibiting, it is a massive
show, I will be opposite Autocar and MSA, NKG near the main entrance, come and say hi. You may want to bring a flask though at those prices!

Stopped going a few years ago as sadly it all got a bit too pricey
The live arena got a bit repetitive after a few years tbh
Good show though and some very nice ladies in attendance

It's the parking charge (£12) that really does grate.

They'd better be there by tomorrow, or I'll have words to say.

I was going to go until I saw the prices. £37 to get in plus £12 parking and £25 in fuel. That's £75 before I've bought a drink!
It's disgraceful.

Is it all electric or do they race nitro too?
I used to race 1/8th off road(still have all the kit actually). Never liked the electric cars, far too quiet for me!

Going this Saturday , not been for a few years although I expect it is the same as previous years
Really going to get my fix of motorsport during these long cold winter months
Can't wait for the smell of burning rubber and exhaust fumes!!
I am going to try parking in the train station as I have heard it is cheaper and easier access to the halls

Autosport International - The Racing Car Show - NEC Jan 2016
Well had a great day at the show, total automotive porn
For those that were unable to attend, I've uploaded some pictures over on the MEV Owners Forum that may be of interest

The trick there is to stay on a bit after closing time. Have a pint in the pub, or a sandwich from Subway, or whatever (OK, that costs you money, too,
but not as much and at least you get something for it). The parking attendants clock-off shortly after the shows have closed and the majority of the
public has left, so you can leave without paying for parking.
Anyone with remotely competent connections in the trade can usually blag free tickets for the trade days on Thursday/Friday (which are the best days
to attend, anyway, if you're not into the live action area stuff and the 'Max Power' aspects of the public show days).
Take sandwiches and drinks with you.
If you really want to, total cost of attending can be reduced to petrol + a cup of coffee after the show while you wait for the car park attendants to
clear off.
... obviously, I'm posting this on the last day of the show so that most people will have forgotten about it by next year - if thousands of
people end up hanging around after the shows, I'm pretty sure the organisers will catch on and change the policing arrangements for the parking!
