Cracking attempt at gaining a few friends for a first posting! Judging by the response, I suggest rephrasing it!!!

I haven't 'been there and done it' yet, but I have been researching this recently. This what I've found so far (not specific to the Velocity):

On the Zetec Cat website (www.zetec-cat.co.uk) the author says that Tiger recommend the Lucas LRA100 or LRA101 along with a revised mount. Anyone know what vehicles these come from?

Also searching through the Engines forum, other people mention using a Daihatsu Charade alternator.

Only 7 days into the build? Wow - I haven't got that far in 7 months...!

Hope this is of use

Andy

yeah

its a trick 7days into build means nothing more then 1 year preparing and then building..

as far as i'm doing it....i need to shop often etc..

and that's time consuming.

I used an alternator from a fiesta zetec and modified its mount, then bolted straight on to the block (2ltr)
